Wednesday 05/09 Reading - Practice Questioning

Purpose: I can quote accurately while asking questions that deepen my understanding of what I read.

2. Teaching: Today I want to teach you that one of the best ways to learn is to think about answers to questions.  It okay if something that was once unknown becomes clear as you discover more!
3. Thinking and Writing About Your Reading:"Quoting Accurately While Asking Questions" Response is due THURSDAY
• Ask THREE questions that connect to the overall meaning of the text.
• Use author's exact words.
• Use quotation marks and correct punctuation.
• Tell where the quote came from.
• Explain your question.
• Compose your quote and question as a complete sentence.
