Purpose: I can use sensory details and images to personify an object.

1. Connection: Sensory Details
2. Teaching: Poets use sensory details to help their audience see, hear, smell, taste, and feel what's happening.  You can personify, and bring to life, an object by writing about an object from its perspective.
3. Engagement: "umbrella" and "safety pin"
