Friday 05/19 Reading - Figurative Language Practice

Purpose: I can determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, including figurative language such as metaphors and similes.

2. "Figurative Language" Response is due Monday:
• Identify examples of figurative from your reading.
• Describe FIVE elements (characters, setting, events, etc.) of your story by composing metaphors and similes.
3. Writing: Publish your poetry into a collection that includes a variety of styles and concepts: 
• Metaphor and/or Simile 
• Personification 
• Alliteration and/or Onomatopoeia 
• Repetition 
• Shape/Stanzas 
• Acrostic 
• Haiku 
• Ode
