Thursday 03/08 Writing - Building a Toolbox of Ideas for Logical Structures

Purpose: As an informational writer, I can structure my writing to allow my ideas to grow.
  1. Connection:  Different Formats
  2. Teaching:  Today I want to teach you that writers try one version of something and then another to decide what works best.  Think about the the most important thing you want your reader to learn, understand, or feel after reading each section.  What structure best supports that?
  3. Application: Research Report
    • Structure your writing using the different formats available for information writing; challenge your writing to include at least one structure per section of your report.
    • Record new information using our approved & appropriate resources.
    • Grow your thinking by thinking about the information.
