- Connection: Different Perspectives
- Teaching: Today I want to teach you that every single story or fact has multiple perspectives from which it can be seen, and writers need to ask themselves, "What are some other ways to see this story?" Often this means keeping an ear, an eye, out for the voices of people whose perspectives are not often heard.
- Engagement: View the following images and ask, "What is the obvious story?" and also "What are some other sides of the story?" and "What are sides that are not often heard?"
- Application: Research Report
- Study primary sources closely and figure out what information they offer: quotes, inferences, thoughts, feelings, etc.
- Record new information using our approved & appropriate resources.
- Structure your writing using the different formats available for information writing.
- Grow your thinking by writing about the information.
