Monday 03/05 Writing - Organizing Information for Drafting

Purpose: As a researcher, I can shift between reading to collect & record information and writing to grow ideas.

1. Connection: Organization
2. Teaching: Today I want to teach you that although there are lots of ways writers organize their thinking or their information before they write, one thing all writers have in common is that they do organize it before they draft!  Each of you will have to figure which ways to organize works for you and your writing.
3. Application: Research Report
• Give yourself space for continuing to research and think about each of the sections of your report.
• Record new information using our approved & appropriate resources.
• Grow your thinking by thinking about the information.
