Wednesday 04/05 Social Studies - Translate the Declaration of Independence

Purpose: I can translate parts of the Declaration of Independence into language a fifth grader can understand.
  1. Have your Interactive Student Notebook and Social Studies textbook ready.
  2. Whole Group:  Read and translate Excerpt 1, 2, and 3 of the Declaration of Independence
  3. Partner Practice:  Read and translate the Excerpts 4 and 5 of the Declaration of Independence.
  4. Extension: Declaration of Independence Interactive Timeline
