Thursday 04/06 Writing

Purpose:  I can repeat my opinion in my conclusion paragraph of my persuasive essay to make it more convincing.

1. Whole Group: Analyzing the Last Sentences of Persuasive Essays
2. Persuasive writing should state your opinion clearly and provide reasons to support your claim.  Conclusion paragraphs should repeat the opinion.
3. Independent Writing Time:
• Revise your opening sentences to get your reader interested.
• Make sure to state your opinion clearly in the first paragraph.
• Make sure to give reasons that support your opinion.
• Repeat your opinion in your conclusion.
