Thursday 09/07 Reading - Characters

Purpose: I can analyze how the characters in a story are introduced.

1. Small Group:  Analyze Character Practice
2. Independent Practice:  Read, think, and write about your new book!
• List the characters you meet during your first Reading Assignment for your book club.
• In your Reading Notebook, use a Character Web to identify elements of THREE characters:
• Appearance
• Actions of the character
• Thoughts/feelings the character has
• Your opinion of the character (like/dislike, connections, etc)
3. Have your Response Assignment ready to share with your book club on Friday.
