Wednesday 01/04 Reading - Describing Tone, Mood, and Beauty

Purpose:  I can describe the meaning, tone/mood, and beauty of a text after viewing multimedia elements.
  1. Minilesson: Mood, Tone, or Beauty
  2. Whole Group Practice: I Need My Monster
  3. "Analyze Visual Elements" Response is due Friday:
    1. Before reading your text, closely inspect and analyze the visuals of the book cover.
    2. Then at the end of your reading assignment, analyze your “Before Reading” descriptions to see how well the text matches the visuals.
  4. Read Silently
