Purpose: I can analyze how the characters in a mystery story are introduced.

1. Whole Group: Elements of the "Mystery" Genre
2. Thinking & Writing About Your Reading: "Introduction of Characters" Response is due Tuesday
• List the characters you meet during your first Reading Assignment for your book club.
• In your Reading Notebook, use a Character Web to identify elements of THREE characters:
• What character trait best describes them?
• Describe the character's appearance.
• What are the character's actions?
• Describe the thoughts/feelings of the character.
• What is your opinion of the character?
