You have been divided into groups and assigned a Native American group. First, independently read through your flipbook taking care to pay attention to headings, vocabulary words, and other text features.
Then, working with your group, locate the Table of Contents on pages 4-5 of your flipbook and answer the question asked after each chapter heading. Your group should write a paragraph to answer each question. For example: If answering the question for chapter 1 with "The Comanche," students might tell not only how horses changed the Comanche way of life but also when and why, and how horses improved their ways of fighting. All students must participate by providing important information. Your group should first discuss the question and then write an answer that is accurate and complete.
When finished, your group should create a poster that clearly and neatly displays your questions and answers for other groups to read. Your group may also include vocabulary terms, illustrations, and other interesting information about your assigned Native American group.
